Soybean meal

Soybean meal is the product remaining after extracting most of the oil from whole soybeans. The oil is removed by an expeller process in which the beans are heated and squeezed. Soybean meal is high in protein and energy and is one of the most commonly used protein supplements. It is a palatable feedstuff and may be used as the major protein supplement in rations for dairy cattle. Globally, about 98 percent of soybean meal is used as animal feed and about 2 percent of soybean meal is used for soy flour and other products for human consumption.

Soybean cake meets the requirements of GOST (State Standards) 27149-95 (fodder soybean cake), and has such characteristics:

  • Color – natural, from yellow to light brown

  • Weight percentage of humidity and volatiles, %7-10

  • Urease Activity – 0,1-0,3
